Submission of Manuscripts. Manuscripts may be sent to the Chairman, ICE -2009: Prof. R. P. Tandon, Room No. 73, Extension Building, Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110007, India. Alternative, you can e - mail your manuscript along with transfer of copyright form at ice09abstract@gmail.com. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts on disk. The disk should be prepared using MS Word and should be clearly labeled with the authors' names, file name, and software program. Three hardcopy printouts that exactly match the disk must be supplied. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the property of the publisher.
All parts of the manuscript should be typewritten, double-spaced, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Number manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also supply a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more that 100 words. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text.
Hardcopy printout of the manuscript and transfer of copyright form can be submitted at the registration desk during first day of the conference.
Illustrations. Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.) should be clean originals or digital files. Digital files are recommended for highest quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines:
- 300 dpi or higher
- sized to fit on journal page
- EPS, TIFF, or PSD format only
- submitted as separate files, not embedded in text files
Color Reproduction. Color art will print at the publisher's discretion at no additional cost to the author. Art selected to print in color will publish at the end of the issue and also within the article in the online format.
Tables and Figures. Tables and figures should not be embedded in the text, but should be included as separate sheets or files. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size reduction. Captions should be typed, double-spaced, on a separate sheet. All original figures should be clearly marked in pencil on the reverse side with the number, author's name, and top edge indicated.
Length of Manuscript. Maximum length of manuscript is 35 pages for invited contribution and 25 pages for all other contributions when typed in double-spaced. This length is inclusive of all the pages including figures and tables on seperate sheets or files.
References. Identify references in the text by arabic numerals in brackets, and number consecutively in the Reference Section in order of their first mention. References should include: names of all contributing authors (last names first); title of article; title of journal (abbreviate according to the style of Index Medicus) or book; volume number; location and name of publishing company (books only); inclusive pages; year of publication. Online access/Offprint's/Reprints: Principal authors, as registered conference participants, will receive the perpetual online access to the proceedings, which will provide the opportunity to download a PDF of their articles, additional complimentary reprints will not be made available. If hard copy reprints are desired they may be purchased at the usual journal rates. Reprints orders will be available at the proofs stage of production.
